You must have taken Adobe InDesign CS4 Fundamentals

and used it enough to be solid on the basic features or have equivalent InDesign skills.

Objectives

- Confidently use InDesign’s Typography options in (baseline alignment across multiple columns, glyphs, drop caps, spacing controls, tracking & kerning controls, setting tabs, attaching rules to paragraphs
- Create and Modify Styles (a review of paragraph and character styles, plus how to nest character styles within a paragraph style, and a look at object styles, table styles and cell styles)
- Import and Link Graphics (understanding the Links panel, plus how toget the most from your Illustrator and Photoshop files after they are placed into your InDesign layout)
- Create Tables (learn how to import an Excel spreadsheet and control the formatting with table and cell styles)
- Prepare files for commercial printing Use Preflight and Package to find errors and omissions before sending files to a printer
